The Science Support Department offers dedicated services for researchers and doctoral students:

Open Science

  • Supporting researchers with access to open scientific data, publications, and research results
  • Assistance in selecting appropriate platforms and tools for open access publishing, open licensing, and research data management
  • Assistance with copyright issues in scientific publishing
  • Promotion and implementation of the Open Science Policy of the University of Warsaw, developed within the framework of the IDUB UW Action V. 3.3

Bibliometrics and scientometrics

  • Preparation of bibliometric reports to support academic promotion proceedings
  • Creation of bibliometric and scientometric reports to assess research visibility, impact, and quality across departments and the University
  • Advisory support on effective publication strategies and methods for enhancing scientific impact, such as increasing citation counts

Evaluation

  • Training and advisory services on science evaluation, including the national evaluation system and the analysis of scientific output
  • UW Institutional Repository
  • Advisory support on depositing publications, ensuring compliance with grantors’ requirements, and clarifying access to texts
