The Medical Library
The Medical Library is located on the Ochota Campus, in the Library of the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw at Pasteura 5 in Warsaw.

- Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm.
It started operating along the inauguration of the 2023/24 academic year.
Currently, the book collection of the new library consists primarily of literature for first-year medicine students at the UW Faculty of Medicine. The collection of textbooks for the second year has also begun. The collection will be expanded as the Faculty develops.
The resources of the BUW branch are already visible in the UW Libraries Online Catalogue; they are marked with the location ‘Biblioteka Medyczna’ (Medical Library) and can be browsed, ordered and reserved the same way as for the faculty libraries. Any title available in the Medical Library on the Ochota Campus can also be found in BUW at Powiśle.
The collection of the new library is primarily collected with the staff and students of the UW Medical Faculty in mind, but it can also be used – with the right to borrow – by other members of the Warsaw University community, members of the UW Alumni Club, professors and post-doctoral fellows from outside the University, and holders of deposit accounts. The collection can also be used on site by all persons holding a valid BUW library card.
The Medical Library was established through the efforts of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Warsaw, by Order No. 150 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw on 12 October 2023. It is part of the Library and Information System of the University of Warsaw. Its activities are coordinated in organisational and content terms by the University of Warsaw Library. Some tasks are carried out in cooperation with the Library of the Faculty of Physics.
