Training

BUW offers a wide range of training courses. You can take advantage of basic library instruction and thematic courses.

All training courses at BUW are free of charge, take place on-site at BUW (in-person training) or online via Google Meet, and are open to anyone interested.

To participate in an in-person training course, you must have an active BUW library card (this does not apply to library training courses).

Mendeley and Zotero - reference manager tools

Learn how to:

  • discover and download resources
  • organize, store, and retrive publications
  • read and annotate publications and notes
  • collaborate and share knowledge with others in your field
  • create and update citations and bibliographies using any of the 8000 styles.

Useful GenAI tools for your studies

The aim of the training is to familiarise participants with the practical applications of generative artificial intelligence tools in the study process.

The training will present examples of how genAI tools can help in searching and reviewing literature, creating, editing and translating content. Copyright issues, correct citation and avoiding plagiarism in the context of using generative AI will also be discussed.

The workshop is hands-on and is primarily aimed at students, but it is also open to anyone interested in the subject.
