Guided tours
Only organised groups accompanied by a librarian can visit the Library. Guided tours of the garden are not available.
Guided tours for organised groups (secondary schools and adults)
A tour of the Library, discussing the use of the collections and services, how the book collection is organised and the Library history. From 21 September to 31 October 2026, guided tours of BUW will not be taking place due to student training sessions.
Start of tour: at the main entrance to the Library.
Duration: approx. 60 minutes.
Group size: up to 30 participants.
Cost: 50 PLN / group
Please note! Guided tours of the Library are available on working days only (Monday to Friday).
Reservation rules
- It is necessary to pre-arrange and book a tour date at least two weeks in advance with the Information Services and Training Deparment by email (askalibrary.buw@uw.edu.pl).
- Once the date has been set, please send a completed Library guided tour booking form to askalibrary.buw@uw.edu.pl.

- By bank transfer to the BUW account no later than 3 business days before the agreed date of the tour.

Please note that no-cost cancellation of a tour booking is possible up to 3 working days before the agreed tour date. The cancellation must be submitted by the Organiser by email to askalibrary.buw@uw.edu.pl.
In the event of cancellation later than 3 business days, BUW is entitled to charge the Organiser with the full cost of the tour.
