Resources and catalogues
At BUW you can use over 3 mln of paper and electronic resources.
Information about books, periodicals and other printed materials available in BUW and faculty libraries can be found in the UW Libraries Online Catalogue
It’s important to check the Location of the item:
- BUW Wolny Dostęp – BUW Open Stacks – look for the book yourself in the Open Stacks area using the “Klasyfikacja WD” (Open Stacks Classification) alphanumeric symbol.
- BUW Księgozbiór Dydaktyczny – “BUW Textbook Collection”– look for the book yourself in the Textbook Collection on level 2 using the Call Number starting with the letter W.
- BUW Magazyn – “BUW Closed Stacks” – order the book to the Reading Room or the Circulation Desk (waiting time approx. 1 hour). Periodicals cannot be borrowed outside the library, they can be ordered to use on site only in the Reading Room.
- Faculty libraries – borrow and return books in the faculty library specified in the Location.
Multi-search enables integrated search of e-resources and UW Libraries catalogue.
It’s possible to use search criteria such as: author’s name, title of the publication, keywords and other.
