The Royal Łazienki used to be a summer residence of the last king of Poland, Stanisław August Poniatowski. The Museum, which combines a classicist architecture with its natural surroundings featuring fabulous gardens, is a favourite place for strolls of Warsaw citizens and tourists alike. In the historical palaces and pavilions, royal collections of paintings, sculptures and prints are exhibited, as well as world-class works on temporary exhibitions. The Royal Łazienki, as a modern, public-friendly museum, hosts numerous cultural events: from festivals, through concerts, including the famous summer recitals at the Chopin Monument, to lectures and workshops on education.
