The Library will be open:

  • Information Desk, Circulation Desk, Reading Room, 19th Century Publications Department – 9.00 am  – 1.00 pm*
  • Registration – 9.00 am – 1.00 pm*

January 1, 2026 (New Year) closed
January 2, 2026 (Friday) 8.00 am – 10.00 pm closed 8.00 am – 10.00 pm
January 3, 2026 (Saturday) 8.00 am – 10.00 pm closed 8.00 am – 10.00 pm
January 4, 2026 (Sunday) 8.00 am – 10.00 pm closed 8.00 am – 10.00 pm
January 5, 2026 (Monday) 8.00 am – 10.00 pm only Information Desk is open 9.00 am – 4.00 pm 8.00 am – 10.00 pm
January 6, 2026 (Epiphany) closed

*On 31 December 2025, the BUW departments will be open until 1 pm.

We would also like to inform you that:

  • The Maps Department will be closed on 23, 30 and 31 December 2025.
  • The Print Room will be open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on 23 and 30 December 2025.
  • The Early Printed Books Department, the Manuscripts Department and the Ephemera Department will be closed from 23 December 2025 to 5 January 2026.
  • The Music Department will be open from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm on 23, 29 and 30 December 2025. On 5 January 2026 Department will be closed.
