The Quest of the BUW’o’nauts

In the outdoor game Journey of BUWneyers visitors will follow tracks hidden in tasks placed throughout the entire building, through countries and continents, centuries and eras…

BUW passage, ground floor

  • Journeys big and small – an exhibition of posters from the Gallery of Polish Posters collection in BUW.
  • Journey through color and form – art workshops for kids and youth led by Krzysztof Sosnowski (room 097).
  • ORIGAMI – Trevas Chuang- Come and make your own nocturnal animal!! (room 097).
  • A VISIT IN KAIAN TEA PAVILION– we invite you to take part in teatime held in an original Japanese pavilion. The guests will be taught teatime etiquette. We will be serving cookies and matcha tea (II floor). We invite groups of 10 at the following hours: 19.30, 20.30, 21.30, 22.30, 23.30. We ask the visitors for silence if teatime is being held.
    Sign ups from 7.00 pm by the entrance to the BUW passage.

Showing of books, maps and atlases from the XV-XIX centuries and “Tea with cinnamon”, history of tea and spices trading routes told through maps, illustrations and books from the XVI-XIX centuries – Early Printed Books Department, Maps Department, S. B. Lind’s room, (room 316).
  • Karol Szymanowski’s travels to Sicily – Music Department (room 315).
  • Till the southern sun. Tourist prints of the interwar period – Ephemera Department (room 315).
  • What a ride! There and back by… – Print Room.
  • Journey to a land of magic and wizardry – Manuscripts Department.
  • Unknown Europe – literary travels with Karl-Markus Gauss – an exhibition of books from Austrian Library collections.
  • Maciej Sieńczyk’s illustrations for „The Porcupines Revenge – Juris W. stories” exhibition – foyer in front of the Manuscripts Department.The BUW gardens will be open till midnight.
