The Internet and computers at BUW

The wireless network (Wi-Fi) is located throughout the library. To use it, you must select BUW.Hotspot network and sign in by typing your library card number (or ELS/ELD/ELP if they have been activated as library cards) and the password assigned to your library account.
Password recovery – to obtain a new password you need to go to the Circulation Desk or use the Forgot your password? function available when you sign in to your Reader’s account.

At BUW you can also use the wireless network EDUROAM, which provides free Internet access to employees and students of the University of Warsaw and of other universities and academic units.

Text editors

There are computers in BUW with access to MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The computers are also equipped with a CD/DVD and USB drive. Results of work can be transferred to a USB drive and printed out.

The computers in the Reading Room and in the catalogue hall are not connected to the Internet.

Access to the online catalogue, Internet and MS Office

The online catalogue is available on all workstations with Internet access (levels 1 and 2).

On these computers you need to log in – enter the number of your library card (or ELS/ELD/ELP if activated as a library card) and the password assigned to your library account.

The Internet and MS Office are available at selected workstations in the catalogue hall, at the Circulation Desk, in the History subject area (level 1) and in the Reading Room, the Current Periodicals Reading Room and the General Works and Library Science subject area (level 2).
