Changes in the configuration of Primo catalogue
In response to suggestions made by readers and librarians, changes to the configuration of the Primo catalogue were implemented on 23 April this year.
The following modifications have been made:
1. Display of information about resources from other libraries in Primo.
A list of libraries outside the University of Warsaw network holding a given publication has been hidden in the bibliographic record view. Users can still check the availability of publications in other libraries by expanding the ‘Available in other libraries’ section.
2. The option for readers to cancel requests in Primo themselves.
Readers can now cancel their requests directly from their Primo account.
3. Automatic email notifications: “UW Libraries – change to your loan account”.
Readers will receive an email in the following cases:
– if another reader reserves an item on their account,
– if a reservation for an item on their account is cancelled,
– if the return date of an item is changed (whether as a result of individual actions or system-wide changes, e.g. the introduction of a closed day in the system). Note: an email is not sent if the return date is changed via a renewal.
4. Sorting the list of borrowed items.
The default setting is to sort by the oldest loan date. This makes it easier to see which items are due to expire soon.
