1. Library instruction For whom: international English-speaking students and staff of the University of Warsaw; users not affiliated to the University of Warsaw but wishing to use the Library. Content: General information on library use and services and research support. Introduction to the University of Warsaw: use of the collection, online catalogue, e-resources (in general) and other services. Form: Presentation and library tour. Effects: After the instruction users know: about the Library’s collection; how to search the online catalogue; how to find a book/periodical in the University of Warsaw Library (open stacks), how to request nedded materials (closed stacks); about available e-resources and services.
2. Information sources and research tools For whom: international English-speaking students and staff of the University of Warsaw Content: introduction to the University of Warsaw libraries online catalogue; introduction to: the University of Warsaw libraries online catalogue, searching in other library resources, search strategies, open access resources, Mendeley – bibliographic manager. Form: Workshop Effects: After the instruction users know: how to search the University of Warsaw libraries online catalogue; how to find a book/periodical in the University of Warsaw Library (open stacks) and in a faculty library; how to request needed materials (closed stacks); about search strategies; e-resources at the University of Warsaw and available in open access; subject gates; bibliographic manager Mendeley.

Databases For whom: international English-speaking students and staff of the University of Warsaw Content: Introduction to databases offered at the University of Warsaw (full-text and abstract databases); search tools and other e-resources at the University of Warsaw Form: Presentation Effects: The instruction allows to learn about: the University of Warsaw offer of e-resources, their content, use and terms of use; searching the databases; other e-resources at the University of Warsaw.
